Retired Firefighter launches free Online CPR Certification Training During Pandemic
Leading providers of real-world emergency solutions, Disaster Survival Skills, announces the launch of their new Online CPR Course for businesses and school staff that need to maintain their certifications

Online CPR Skills was recently created by Disaster Survival Skills owner and retired fire Captain Wayne Bennett. Along with his 33 years in the fire service he has also been an American Heart Association (AHA) and first aid instructor for 28 years. He has trained thousands of people with their in-person classes. That ended abruptly in March with the onset of COVID-19. So, he decided to launch their Online CPR certification and First Aid for businesses and School staff. The new Online CPR Course is designed for participants who need to maintain their certifications amid strict regulations but are reluctant or uncomfortable with in person classes.

The free AHA® & ECC/ILCOR compliant course offers flexibility, allowing participants to train anywhere and anytime. Participants can also take the test without paying a dime, with the certification available for just $29.95. Disaster Survival Skills has included Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and AED and first aid training, covering everything from choking to anaphylactic shock with Epi-pen use.

The launch of the virtual class will also allow Captain Wayne to reach thousands of participants nationwide, helping them to tap into Captain Wayne’s wealth of experience and knowledge garnered over his 33 years of service as a firefighter.

The online classes also ensure that participants’ cards do not expire. Online CPR skills also provides a CPR Card with a 2-year nationally accepted certification. The training is designed to incorporate the latest scientific guidelines and is aligned with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) best practices.
