Johanna Bellenberg, Director Marketing & Communications for Picavi, leader of pick-by-vision technology for manufacturers, distribution centers, and warehouses, spoke to a number of media outlets during 2020.
Bellenberg, was interviewed on the WAM (Women and Manufacturing) podcast hosted by Frances Brunelle, President of Accelerated Manufacturing Brokers. Listen here for the full interview.
Bellenberg noted the importance of the pick-by-vision solution during the pandemic and how their solution can be remotely installed. She explained why the growth of this solution has surpassed former intralogistics technologies. With more women integrally engaged in the manufacturing, industrial, intralogistics, and supply chain, being tech savvy can make all the difference in advancing best-in-class solutions like Picavi which pictographically displays product picks in the viewing glasses worn by pickers.
Bellenberg was a guest on IndustrialSage Executive Series video podcast. Danny Gonzales, host of IndustrialSage spoke with Bellenberg about pick-by-vision solution for intralogistics which incorporates smart glasses. Watch to the video podcast here.
Bellenberg shared, “We have a lot of sensors in the smart glasses, because essentially it is a computer, but gathering all the data doesn’t help us if we don’t understand it. So, we just developed a solution called the Picavi Cockpit, that makes big data into smart data.”
Bellenberg was a guest on Manufacturing Talk Radio. Bellenberg discussed Picavi’s full line of assisted reality and augmented reality glasses with Lew Weiss and Tim Grady, the hosts of the Manufacturing Talk Radio podcast. Listen to the interview here.
According to Bellenberg, Picavi’s pick-by-vision glasses enable logistics workers to keep important information in front of them yet keep their hands free, visually guiding them through the picking process, increasing productivity, and accuracy.

The use of this innovation maximizes productivity at warehouses and minimizes error rates. When wearing the smart glasses, warehouse workers have both hands free for their primary tasks, including picking and packing goods. Smart glasses are one of the most significant developments in order picking during the COVID-19 situation. Augmenting reality with context-based information makes work much more precise and the glasses have become an indispensable part of warehouse life during the pandemic.
