‘Heels Down Fitness’ set to transform lives with an equestrian kick

Big goals can look scary when you first dream them or set them. But what if you could motivate yourself from your own home, or barn, or anywhere to keep working on your goals one workout at a time and be supported by an amazing community while you do it?

The fitness and lifestyle application ‘Heels Down Fitness’ (HDF) launched in May 2020 by Founder and “Barn Boss Babe” Ashla Magill, combines health, lifestyle, and fitness with an equestrian spin and seeks to target all ages, from advanced athletes to beginner riders aimed at promoting personal wellbeing and fitness education. Perhaps the perfect time for all equestrians who were affected by the global pandemic and lockdowns. Experiencing more time at home, less time at horse shows, or even riding in general and feeling lost when it comes to losing that “Riding Fit” feeling you think you can only get from the saddle.

Harnessing flexible programs ‘to better understand your muscles out of the saddle’, from a beat the clock self-motivating format, a challenging circuit, or a stretching recovery follow along format to help you learn more about your body needs, your personal journeys want and overall surprise you gift yourself as you continue to power up with each week’s workouts.

The HDF community #HDFmates as they are called serve as a support network bolstered by the HDF podcast to assist those riders frequently on the go. Magill talks with both fitness and equestrian professionals from all over the world, mixing in some minds self-help topics which make anyone feel like they are sitting in a room with friends discussing some cool, exciting, and sometimes awkward conversations which have helped many delve into their own axis to find their inner power.

“I wanted to create an app that I could give back what I have learned from my previous fitness career and transform it into programs for riders and non-riders,” Magill addresses.

With a strong online following and a podcast listened to in over 26 countries, it’s no wonder that this new app is more than just an app to Magill, who believes that this is a brand that will continue to give back to the incredible community that continues to motivate and support Heels Down Fitness.

“HDF aims to help you on your journey through sweat, tears, and some laughter too, to becoming the healthiest you for you and your four-legged friend, for a better connection with your horse when you are back in the saddle”.

Venturing into merchandise later in 2020, Heels Down Fitness’ first drop consisted of branded baseball caps and an innovative eco-friendly Travel yoga mat, with a suede texture but made out of recycled plastic bottles, boasting a unique golden design and can fold up to a size of an A4 sheet of paper. Perfect for any workout whether you keep one in our car, the barn, or traveling to your next competition!
