Viking Energy Group (OTC:VKIN) Technology Will Reduce Utility Caused Forest Fires

In 2022, wildfires have burned over 365,000 acres. That’s 6,000 separate forest fire incidents, damaging 876 structures throughout the state. While there are various causes of these forest fires, some of the largest and most destructive have been started by utility transmission lines. The Dixie Fire, which burned over 1 million acres and destroyed over 1,300 homes, was sparked by a tree that fell on electrical distribution lines. With the threat of continued wildfires, and further consequences, Utility Companies are scrambling for a more effective solution to prevent wild fires.

VKIN BREAK THROUGH TECHNOLOGY

Viking Protection Systems, LLC, a majority owned subsidiary of Viking Energy Group (OTC-VKIN) filed a patent application last month that will put them in a position to be a front runner among those seeking solutions. Vikings’ patent application is a continuation of previous filings and details new systems for prevention of ground faults existing in electric transmission lines caused by a damaged line.

This rapid proactive system is designed to detect a fault within the transmission line, and trigger the circuit breaker, before the damaged line comes into contact with a surface. This contact with an outside surface can trigger a spark, igniting a wildfire, like the Dixie Fire that ravaged Northern California in 2021.

This technology differs from other solutions on the market in that it is a proactive measure, not reactive. VKINs high sensitivity parameter detection system terminates the power before the broken line(s) in just fractions of a second, before it makes any contact with an outside surface. This solution can be applied across the board to electric utility companies, as it is not only helpful in preventing wildfires, but also blackouts from severe weather. With Viking’s new patent application, utility companies are able to more confidently deliver power to its customers in severe weather conditions.

Vikings (OTC-VKIN) Open Conductor Detection technology offers utility companies with a comprehensive solution to combat the problem of transmission wire caused wildfires, making VKIN a stock to watch.
