Noted Equity Crowdfunding Attorney Kendall Almerico Analyzes Study Demonstrating Success of Regulation A and Regulation CF

Reg A attorney and Reg CF lawyer Kendall Almerico has published a new article “Does Equity Crowdfunding Work? Yes it does. Here are the numbers” in which the experienced crowdfunding attorney provides statistics to show the impact of equity crowdfunding on startup and early-stage company capital raises.

Crowdfunding expert Kendall Almerico notes the following in his article, based on a study released by Crowdfund Capital Advisors who track the Regulation Crowdfunding industry:

1.  More than 6,500 U.S. small businesses have raised nearly $2.48B in capital through 8,400 investment rounds using Reg CF. Reg CF expert Kendall Almerico notes that in most cases, these companies were too early stage for venture capital or private equity.

2.  More than 2,000,000 Americans have invested in Reg CF offerings, averaging about $1,200 per investment. Equity crowdfunding attorney Kendall Almerico says it’s now common for large numbers of people to make smaller investments in startups online through Reg CF.

3. Women and minorities constitute nearly 50% of successful Reg CF issuers. Reg CF lawyer Kendall Almerico notes that women and minority founders find it very hard to raise capital from venture capitalists and private equity funds, so equity crowdfunding is the great equalizer.

4. Reg CF has created or supported over 400,000 jobs, has been used by companies in more than 1,750 cities across all 50 states, and has caused $7.5B in economic stimulus through business expenditures, with the majority of spending and jobs staying local. Regulation Crowdfunding  attorney Kendall Almerico explains that Reg CF has helped local communities through job creation and local spending that would not likely have occurred if those same small companies had to rely on traditional capital raising methods.
