16-year-old Na’Zyia Washington Launches First-of-its-kind Selfie Museum “Flick Factory” With a Grand Opening in Richmond

Na’Zyia Washington is thrilled to announce the launch of Flick Factory, the first-ever selfie museum where kids and adults can take selfies in Richmond, Virginia

After joining Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) at her high school, New Kent High, Na’Zyia Washington has chosen the path of entrepreneurship and she’s going all-in with the launch of Flick Factory, a selfie museum for kids to take selfies.

Na’Zyia Washington who is just 16 years old seeks to use Flick Factory as a means to redefine the old, conventional method of taking photos with a polaroid camera to become a fun-filled and thrilling experience. In her own words, “I wanted to give people my age a safe environment to have fun and be themselves here in the city of Richmond.”

Thrilled with the move, Na’Zyia’s parents, Dr. Kevin and LaToya Washington who are co-owners at Flick Factory had this to say, “We were so proud of Na’Zyia for coming to us with a business plan and thinking about how to give back to the community in a fun way.”

Flick Factory is an interactive selfie museum that features over 14+ photography opportunities. By purchasing a ticket on the company’s website, anyone can enjoy access to the factory which is set to open this June, and take cool selfies.

Na’Zyia has the interest of kids and teenagers like her at heart and she determines ticket prices according to age groups. The ticket price for kids age 10 and above is $24.99. For kids ages 4 and 9, tickets are sold at $14.99 while kids under the age of 3 enjoy free access to Flick Factory. Na’Zyia assures customers that COVID-19 protocols and guidelines would be strictly adhered to.

To provide the best experiences and beautiful photos, Flick Factory will change some of its booths and install new themes every few months. Each theme booth will have its own lighting and a cellphone holder. Customers can also ask the staff at the factory for a clicker to hook up Bluetooth on their phones.

For Na’Zyia, the Flick Factory vision would have not materialized without the help of her parents. Speaking about her parents’ support, Na’Zyia said “There was a lot of sweat equity put in to create the props, paint, or install everything. I was fortunate enough to have family members who came in to help and I can’t thank them enough for helping my vision come to fruition.”

The factory offers a perfect spot for private events, birthday parties, content creation, and other events. Brand ambassadors, musicians, kids, and families in and around Richmond, Virginia will find Flick Factory a cool spot to create long-lasting memories.
