Art Lover Launches Crowdfunding Campaign To Support “Framed Flowers” Intiative, Making Cities Beautiful

In an effort to make cities more beautiful, Jean-Christophe, dreamer believer and passionate art lover, started his Individual initiative Framed Flowers in the city of Barcelona and Brussels. His one man project named Noccito that has been funded by him includes purchasing old wooden frames painting them, pairing them with the right flower power of plant arrangement, and hanging them in different locations around the city, where these pieces of art can be enjoyed by the general public as they are add to the beauty of the city.

Since launching the initiative a few months ago, Jean-Christophe has been funding and maintaining these framed flowers on his own. Keeping up this small effort requires money, which has become an issue that can jeopardize the future of this initiative. The “Framed Flowers” project is currently in need of funding to cover the costs of creating and maintaining the pieces. For this purpose, Jean has set up a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo with a funding goal of at least 500 euros to be raised within the next two months.

The project started as Jean’s way of giving back to the cities and communities that he loves. “I have probably hung more than 100 frames in the streets of the city, mainly in Brussels and Barcelona. Some pieces have stayed in the streets for hours while some for a few months. I even had the pleasure of meeting a very old lady who confessed she took one home from the street for her living room. This is my way of adding to the beauty and character of these cities.” – Jean said.

Although the lack of funds is proving to be a big obstacle, Jean is motivated that with the help of the generous online crowd he will be able to continue his project with restored vigor and enthusiasm. After making the Framed Flowers pieces, he also waters them and often has to replace the plant/flowers to keep them looking beautiful. “It is hard work sometime as I need to water or change the plants and cost a bit of money and time. I did not think this through carefully when I started. Now part of me wants to stop and the other part to create even more frames. This is why I am hoping to get a bit of funding to continue this project.” – He further added.
