John Hayes, Director of Sales for BALYO, a leader in innovative robotic solutions for material handling, recently discussed the increasing importance of women’s leadership in the material handling supply chain. Read the recent article in Forbes here.
According to Hayes, no one personifies this transformation more than Carol Miller who was recently named the CMO of MHI (Material Handling Industry Association). After a quarter century with the association, Miller has been instrumental in the ProMat and MODEX tradeshows, along with representing a voice for women in the supply chain.
Other women who have advanced the role of women in the supply chain include Marina Mayer, the editor of both Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazines. Mayer has more women on the annual Pros to Know roster and has used dynamic webinars and been proactive to highlighting the role of women particularly during the height of COVID.
Women and Manufacturing podcast recently profiled a colleague of Hayes, Maggie Oltarzewski from BALYO. She is completing her Master’s degree this year and has been instrumental as a sales engineer at BALYO. Her facility of discernment, critical listening, and sage counsel is a beacon representing the future of women in the robotics, automation, material handling, and supply-chain arenas.
Hayes is a proud member of the Forbes Business Development Council, an invitation-only organization for senior-level sales and business development executives. Members are respected leaders and executives who are selected for the council based on the depth and diversity of experience in the business development space.
