Bit 49 Taking Over Mining Hosting Space

Fresh off a successful international trip, Bit 49 CEO sees the way forward to becoming the leader in cryptocurrency mining hosting.

Colorado Springs, Colorado – Recently returned from a groundbreaking trip to China, Bit 49 CEO Felipe Pinto feels he and his team are poised to take the lead in cryptocurrency Miner Hosting.

Bit 49 offers comprehensive hosting packages in which the user can buy used (or send their own pre-owned)  machines to a designated facility, and Bit 49 – which has a hosting presence in Asia and North America – provides a device-sourcing and hosting package (which includes electricity and monitoring) along with performance-enhancing firmware. This allows 13.5 TH/s S9s – the most common on the market – to be bought, shipped, and installed at $135, and then  run at 14.4 TH/s at $45 per month or 16 TH/s at $50 per month, so that miners can continue to mine, even during a down market. Customers can also prepay and receive an even bigger discount. The result is a better ROI than reputable competitors, and even the stated ROI of so-called cloud mining companies while also giving the benefits of ownership and transparency to customers, as customers can also have VPN access (if they meet quantity minimums). In an industry that has seen a litany of scams, cash-grabs and poorly run operations, Bit 49 saw an opportunity to be different. Through longevity, profitability and scalability, they are slowly turning that reputation around and forcing out would-be scammers.

“We’re in it for the long haul. We’re trying to excel where others have gone wrong by offering a turnkey solution all the way from device sourcing and transportation, software selection and management, and sound and transparent financial and operational practices,” said Pinto.

With a home base in Colorado and a hosting presence in Colorado and Siberia, Russia, Bit 49 has its sight set on an aggressive expansion in 2019 and 2020 that includes a plan to be one of the highest-capacity miner hosters worldwide with the first truly global footprint. China was just the next step in achieving that goal.

“We’re fortunate to find tremendous demand and great sites for hosting across the globe and are doing all we can to meet demand for hosting – for customer demand that spans geographies. Some customers want their machines to stay ‘local,’ meaning within the same geographical region or continent. Others want to take advantage of lower price overseas or even send machines from Asia to North America, where they put a premium on the relative predictability of the legal institutions here,” said Pinto.

Bit 49 was formed by two Stanford graduate students — one in business, one in computer science — and an incredible operations lead who has built hundreds of mining rigs. Our mission is to make the most high performing, reliable, and user-friendly mining solutions possible. We’re proud of our 100% publicly verifiable, positive feedback, and have thrived by putting our customers first. Having proven ourselves as rig makers, we are leveraging our passion and expertise into other products and services, many customer-recommended. We seek to be a business and thought leader in the space indefinitely.

Felipe Pinto completed his MBA at Stanford in 2017 and is on leave of absence from Harvard, where he was pursuing a JD, to lead Bit 49 full time.
