Creative Diagnostics Releases Iron Oxide Nanoparticles for Scientific Researchers

With years of experience in the pharmaceutical and life science sector, Creative Diagnostics recently released a comprehensive list of coated, functionalized and conjugated iron oxide nanoparticles in small particle size (0-30 nm) , including Amine, Carboxyl, PEG, Methyl (C1), Azide, Oleic Acid, PDDA, Protein G, Streptavidin, and Biotin, which can be used as probes for MRI and optical imaging, and applied in magnetic separation, biosensing, and drug delivery.

Many of these iron oxide nanoparticles (except oleic acid coated particles) are well dispersed in deionized water and keep stable for a long time as a result of their surface coatings and small particle sizes. Precipitation may happen due to gravitation forces and it can be avoided if the size of the particles is sufficiently small which contributes to lower sedimentation rates. Another main advantage of using small particles is their large surface area to volume ratio. The high effective surface areas make it easier for our magnetic particles to attach target molecules.

Being one of the featured products, Absolute Mag™ Oleic Acid Coated Iron Oxide Nanoparticles, 5 nm (# WNM-C001) are superparamagnetic nanoparticles with oleic acid surface ligand. They can be used as probing agents to indirectly study the structure of mixed SAMs, solid phase extraction, anode materials for Li-ion batteries, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials.

“All the particles can be separated from crude extracts by conventional permanent magnets or in high gradient magnetic fields and have broad applications in immunoprecipitation, cell isolation, DNA extraction, purification of protein, DNA and RNA. We’ll continue to bring our quality products and solutions together to help our customers achieve their science goals.” said Dr. Jessica Waldorf, chief scientific officer of R&D department, at Creative Diagnostics.

“Through our work with academic and industrial laboratories, we understand the importance for researchers to have reliable and easy-to-use scientific tools to accelerate the pace of research. We now deliver high-quality small iron oxide nanoparticles for various applications, which can help global researchers continue their research and support more laboratories conducting related programs.” said Alex, one of a senior scientific officers at Creative Diagnostics.
