Here is all you need to know:
1. Improved integration for SAWS
Earlier, our users had to manually run SAWS web service to apply DvSum attachments on their data sources. But with the new upgrade to version 1.1.0; now SAWS is available as a charter service which can be installed in your system. The detailed article on this update is available on the company website. Just follow the steps mentioned there, and you will be able to run DvSum services on your data sources without the hassle of using a web service.
2. Increased Excel based productivity
If you are working on a Microsoft Excel background, this update will be of great help. It is obvious that databases running on Excel in memory are far rapid in execution than those running on custom MS Excel. With DvSum Python library system, you can now convert your data source from Excel to Excel-in-memory with just a few clicks.
With the help of python libraries, SAWS will install Python Service accompanied by DvSum SAWS and DvSum monitor. Once DvSum Python Service is operational, you can switch your existing EXCEL source to Excel in-memory source from the Manage Sources page. This will not modify catalog, profiling or executions at all. Preprocessing and workflow executions will work the same as excel.
3. Overhaul of UI/UX for Scheduled Jobs
The developers at DvSum have begun providing a route of sending the scheduled job email to existing DvSum users and another two recipients as “User Groups” and “External Recipients”. This way, the new user interface is familiar with the external users also. User Groups envelop a list of DvSum users, whereas External users variables employed when the admin wants to send the job execution email to a non-signed up person working with the DvSum database.
4. Never miss an update
It is an awful situation when you are chasing a clumsy workflow email, and are about to miss a deadline. Locating and working on workflow emails is a dreadful task, and hence the company brings major assistance in terms of Workflow Email Digest. This will enable you to easily catch immediate workflow alert and also weekly/ daily workflow digest.
The immediate alerts ping you as soon as the workflow increments forward towards every step. On the contrary, the digest will display the precipitate of all executions in which you are associated. A single email with consolidated immediate alerts.
5. Cross exports made simpler and more powerful
Formerly, DvSum was able to excerpt up to a hundred thousand records to Azure, AWS S3 bucket or to a file folder. With this new upgrade, now this limit is extended up to 1 million to 10 million records. The steps to achieve this are quite simple. From Manage Account > Cloud Storage, run Azure cloud storage configured with DvSum. It is now renamed as Export Limit field. Set the limit, implement the rule and Azure will extract records according to this predefined limit.
6. Improved Statistics on the Dashboard for Fast Access
Now, the users do not need to use Power Bi web-app tool for data visualization. To use the frequent tools of analysis and to monitor data analytics, the developers have unified those collaborative reports in DvSum with the new system update. Users can now access reports, put on filters to doohickeys and export data to their machines right from the DvSum dashboard.
7. Now save more time with our upgraded Data Management Workflow Clone process
Witness a simplified system that lets you copy the entire workflow so that you execute a different task with it, or maybe even play with it. You now have full flexibility to do whatever with your workflow and don’t have to create the whole thing right from the start.
8. Save more time with our Data Management Workflow Approver
Now you don’t have to fix all the exceptions for the workflow to progress during validation task. We have added ‘Approvers’ in the workflow, which helps in exception handling by reviewing the activity.
9. Intuitive UX for WF Watchers
Witness a new and improved UX for WF Watchers. Previously, you could only add/edit watchers from Workflow execution for a single execution. We have made some improvements on how you can add watchers;
