The first group of Hangzhou Asian Games official e-sports merchandise was launched on March 7 to celebrate the 200-day countdown to the international sporting event, local media outlets reported.
The merchandise, inspired by the top three e-sports games League of Legends, Arena of Valor, and Game for Peace, includes a total of 51 different products, such as badges, silk scarves, notebooks, mugs, bookmarks, refrigerator stickers, key rings, and mobile phone pouches.
An online tour around the China E-sports Center, the venue for the Games’ e-sports competitions, was also given at the launch ceremony. Spectators had the opportunity to see the cutting-edge facilities embedded within the venue as well as the historic and cultural sites, such as the ancient Tongji Bridge and Zhaoxi Lake, located just outside.
After debuting at the 2018 Asian Games as a demonstration sport featuring titles like League of Legends, e-sports was approved as an official event.
