Chicago – September 2, 2016 – From pizza delivery to global internet, drones are marching ahead to conquer every new territories. The latest field that will see drones in action is closer home – roof inspections. In order to train tomorrow’s professional home inspectors, the training organization Inspection Certification Associates (ICA) will now include drone inspection course as part of its certified courses.
The announcement to include drone inspection training follows the new FAA drone regulations effective August 29, 2016. The introduction of drone roof inspection course module thus makes the ICA course the most advanced training program. Currently, roof inspection is done physically by climbing onto the roof or with the help of binoculars. With drone inspection, the home inspector can remain on the ground in safety, and capture visuals of the steepest and inaccessible parts of roofs.
Inspection Certification Associates leads the space in home inspection training, and their newly updated online home inspection course is a 120-hour, self-paced program. The certified course is based primarily on the ASHI standards of practice. Since the program is self-paced, motivated students can complete it in a week or 10 days as well.
The training programs are supervised by Steve Preins, Director of Education. Steve has over 20 years of experience for skilling both new and experienced home inspectors. He has appeared in numerous state and national conventions devoted to home inspection.
“This new drone inspection course module helps keep graduates of our home inspection course ahead of the competition,” said ICA General Manager, Andrew Davis. “As drones become more popular with home inspectors, homebuyers will get an unprecedented look at the condition of their roof, which will be a tremendous benefit.”
ICA is well known for its quality of courses that cost less and offer an opportunity to anyone to become a professionally certified home inspector. A demo video detailing the course and its highlights can be viewed on their website. ICA is an approved affiliate member of ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors), NAHI (National Association of Home Inspectors), FABI (Florida Association of Building Inspectors) and also CREIA (California Real Estate Inspection Association).
