Impactoverse Launches PetDrops NFT with Historic Girls School of Austin STEM Collaboration

“NFTs have tremendous potential for building community and fundraising. Complexity and geek-speak are barriers to many impact entrepreneurs, companies, NPOs, and regular people that prevents them from utilizing NFTs to increase engagement, earnings and profits” says Noleen Mariappen, Founder and CEO of Impactoverse.

The GSA 8th-grade girls will learn about blockchain and NFTs in a safe, no-risk environment. They will create art NFTs from portraits of pets. Proceeds from the NFT sales will benefit the Austin Animal Center and the GSA 8th Grade Class Gift Fund.

Summary: PetDrops NFT and the Girls School of Austin announce an innovative STEM Collaboration October 11 – 13th.

PetDrops NFT, an Impactoverse initiative, is an Edutech experience that teaches people about blockchain and NFTs. PetDrops is a low-risk, fun way for animal lovers to dip a toe in the NFT ocean, create and sell NFTs of pet portraits to immortalize their pets on the blockchain, all while helping animals in need.

“NFTs have tremendous potential for building community and fundraising. Complexity and geek-speak are barriers to many impact entrepreneurs, companies, NPOs, and regular people that prevents them from utilizing NFTs to increase engagement, earnings and profits,” says Noleen Mariappen, Founder and CEO of Impactoverse.

Kala Philo, Impactoverse’s Co-founder, will be in Austin Oct 11 – 13th to work with Amy Heaton, GSA Middle School math and STEM teacher to present to the girls. Sessions will include a mini-panel discussion featuring other female impact entrepreneurs in Austin working in tech for good, NFTs and Web3 impact space.

Impactoverse is sponsoring the collaboration, while MiraMira.co and JuliannaJ.com are location sponsors for an Impactoverse Meteoric Meet and Greet event on Oct 13 from 6 – 8 PM.
