Ohio BMV Exam Station Accepted Online Drivers Education Course Now Available For Teens Ages 15 To 17

Drivers Education of America now offers the approved driving education class online for teenagers in Ohio

May 16, 2022 – Garland, Texas – This week, Drivers Education of America announced its formal launch of the Ohio driver education course for teenagers ages 15 to 17.  The entire 24-hour course can be taken online and on all devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones.  Students will start the course and, as part of the six-step process toward earning a drivers license, after completing two hours of the Drivers Education of America course for Ohio then the student will be sent a certificate of enrollment which then can be taken to any licensed driving schools in Ohio for the professional in-car training requirements.

Chad Henry, founder of Drivers Education of America and with over 20 years of teaching driver education, created the first online driver education course which eliminates the need to read.  Henry said, “Just as you can’t learn to swim in your bathtub, you can’t learn to drive by just reading.”   All of the course is video-based and can be taken on any internet-connected device: smartphone, tablet, or computer.

According to the Drivers Education of America Ohio website, a student who wishes to obtain his/her drivers license in Ohio needs six steps.  These include:  1) starting the Drivers Education of America Ohio Teenager Course, 2) studying the Digest of Ohio Motor Vehicles Laws handbook, 3) taking a written driving test at a BMV exam station and getting the Temporary Instruction Permit Identification Card (after passing with a 75% grade), 4) getting the Certificate of Enrollment (after two hours of the online drivers education course is completed), 5) Taking the required 8 hours of professional in-car training at a licensed Ohio driving school, and 6) after meeting all of the remaining requirements then taking an in-car test at a BMV exam station.
