The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Judy A. Hunter, MD, Pediatrician, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Hunter is a highly trained and qualified pediatrician with expertise in all facets of her work. Dr. Hunter has been in practice for over 33 years and is currently serving patients at HealthCare Partners in Torrance, California with hospital privileges at Torrance Memorial Medical Center. Furthermore, she owns and runs a nonprofit Los Angeles organization, Teenshop Inc. for teenage girls with goals. Prior to her current endeavors, Dr. Hunter maintained a private practice in Michigan and New Jersey.
Dr. Hunter attended Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, where she graduated with her Medical degree in 1983. She subsequently served her Pediatrics residency at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan, where she was Chief Resident. Dr. Hunter is an inductee of Phi Beta Pi-Theta Kappa Psi Medical Sorority and maintains professional memberships with the American Medical Association and the Association of Black Women Physicians. In addition, Dr. Hunter is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She attributes her success to having personal interactions with her patients and their families, and being readily available. In her spare time, Dr. Hunter enjoys engaging in community service, hiking, and photography.
