May 1, 2020 – After its launch earlier this month, founders of ‘The Programming Foundation’ have announced that fundraising for the platform will commence in the next three to four weeks. All funds raised in the upcoming event will go into democratizing computer science education.
Subhajeet Mukherjee, Founder, ‘The Programming Foundation’
The Programming Foundation was established for the purpose of encouraging the next generation to come to understand, use, and implement computer programming into their knowledge and lives.
With proper education in mind, The Programming Foundation focuses on education that is based on written instruction and concise documentation of examples and processes.
At a recent talk event in San Francisco, Subha explained the goals of the foundation. He said “The Programming Foundation is a platform where anyone can learn operating systems and computer programming. We believe, everybody, regardless of their age or educational background, should learn to program. As an online platform, we want to build a Smarter Us. And we hope to achieve this by documenting foundations of OSes and programming languages, reducing the usage of videos and drag and drop tools, as well as educating K-12 students and children from low-income families”.
The Programming Foundation would spread awareness and education on computer programming and operating systems so that everyone is involved, and no one is left behind while the world advances.
