Visibility Matters When Applying Big Data Analytics to Global Supply Chain Performance According to Synchrono

In a recent survey, The Clear Peak Supply Chain Advisory Council explored how analytics are creating new analytical tools for manufacturing which are harnessing structured and unstructured “big data” from all sources. “The survey findings corroborate with our Top Ten Trends in Demand-Driven Manufacturing,” (https://2b1a3e.campgn3.com/POSTOP10LP) shared John Maher, Vice President of Product Strategy for Synchrono, and a well-respected supply chain thought leader.

Maher added, “Consider the quality analyst that needs to pull data from every individual resource along the value stream for root cause analysis. The ability to quickly access the right data for informed, effective, and timely decisions can dramatically impact production flow and profitability. Modern Demand-Driven Manufacturers require easy to use tools developed for manufacturing. Tools that empower everyone in the organization to conduct their own analyses and create their own reports and dashboards with data aggregated from multiple sources.”

According to the Advisory Council, the flood of data coming from emerging sources, especially the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), will drive advances in the new science of prescriptive analytics.  Virtual, web-based communications providing real-time visibility into operations halfway around the world continue to increase efficiency in procurement, manufacturing and inventory management.

The Clear Peak Supply Chain Advisory Council is a group of practitioners from industry and academia that encourage the advancement and deployment of a more connected supply chain through management action, technology, and analytics.
