Los Angeles, California – Luminous Being, the company with ambition to give back has set a new goal: To helphomeless women in Los Angeles. The project involved driving through the streets of Los Angeles where the homeless encampments were located and handing out yoga backpacks filled with organic eco-friendly hygiene products to homeless women. Luminous Being received generous donations from Nfuse Deodorant, MaskIT, Black Apple, Dr. Brite Toothpaste, and Plus Ultra to support the cause and fill the yoga backpacks.
The yoga backpacks themselves were made by hand using smaller pieces that were recycled from Luminous Being’s eco-friendly leftover textile materials that were no longer usable for large-scale production. Luminous Being then heat pressed beautiful artwork on them. Luminous Being strives to recycle, reduce waste, and reuse the resources within the company. This reused fabric took on a new life to serve these homeless women. A beautiful arrangement for everyone involved including the environment.
Giving back has always been part of Luminous Being’s mission, which is why the company donates a portion of their profits to charitable causes. Luminous Being’s CEO and brand designer Star believes that “Working with women and empowering them has become a necessity. Giving out lovely yoga backpacks filled with goodies to struggling women is a wonderful thing to do.”
