FreeCast is announcing an agreement with TidPix, bringing another FAST channel to the company’s free streaming platform. The linear channel features 24/7 dramas, films, and other authentic African content, and its addition adds to over 700 channels available at no cost via FreeCast. This partnership exemplifies how FreeCast is able to help providers of all types and sizes reach new audiences and monetize their content.
The TidPix FAST channel is a curated selection of authentic African content, managed from Nairobi, Kenya. The channel includes movies and programming from Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, and more. Catering to an English-language audience, TidPix aims to share stories from across the African continent with audiences in North America and beyond.
Tracy West, FreeCast’s Executive Vice President of Digital Content, explained the opportunity for channels like TidPix in working with FreeCast: “FAST channels are growing rapidly in popularity, and they’re a great way to monetize content, especially content that’s relatively untapped in the US market. English-language programming from overseas is very easy and cost-effective to bring state-side this way, and TidPix is one example of that.”
