BALYO, a leader in innovative robotic solutions for material handling, recently joined MHI Mobile Automation Group (MAG) Industry Group. Members are the industry’s leading global suppliers of automatic guided vehicle systems in virtually every major manufacturing and distribution sector. They supply systems worldwide and in virtually every major manufacturing and distribution sector.
John Hayes, BALYO Director of Sales presented the importance of BALYO, and the company was quickly admitted into the MAG Industry Group in May 2022 during the Spring MHI Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Both Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) are computer-controlled wheel-based load carriers (normally battery powered) that run on a plant or warehouse floor (or, if outdoors, on a paved surface). The main difference between AGVs and AMRs is how the path they follow is determined.
Most AGVs follow predefined paths, although there may be areas of the plant or warehouse where they have more freedom. AMRs can determine their own path, although they will attempt to follow suggested paths if they exist.
In 1945, MHI was created to deliver solutions to common industrial challenges for manufacturers in the material handling industry. While the challenges and opportunities have changed, the work of MHI is the same today. Run by members, MHI is a not-for-profit trade association that helps material handling, logistics, and supply chain management equipment and system manufacturers promote their solutions and advance the industry.
BALYO at Automate June 6 – 9 in Detroit Booth 1354
BALYO will be exhibiting and showcasing its technologies at the Automate Show June 6-9 in Detroit, MI at booth 1354. Automate is produced by the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) and is the largest solutions-based showcase of automation, robotics, vision, motion control and more in North America.
BALYO is the leader in the design and development of innovative robotic solutions for material handling trucks. The company’s enhanced technological platform, VNA and REACH trucks are leading the warehouse, distribution center, and manufacturing operations with breakthrough robotic technology.
BALYO transforms standard forklift trucks into standalone intelligent robots thanks to its breakthrough proprietary Driven by Balyo™ technology. The geoguidance navigation system developed by BALYO allows vehicles equipped with the system to locate their position in real-time and navigate autonomously inside buildings/warehouses. BALYO is selling a solution, not just a product. BALYO Reach Trucks are transforming warehouses and distribution centers globally.
