Dr. Aulsondro “Emcee N.I.C.E.” Hamilton, Ph.D. has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Harvest Christian University’s (HCU)  “Extension Campus”, announced by HCU President Dr. Carl Robinson, Ph.D. and the Board of Regents is set to open in April 2024. This groundbreaking decision makes Dr. Hamilton also known as “Emcee N.I.C.E.” the first Hip-hop, Christian Hip Hop artist to hold such a prestigious role in academia.  “I am deeply grateful and honored to be in a position to help in the leadership role with the institution to usher in tomorrow’s leaders and experts today. As an alumnus of HCU I welcome the challenges and opportunities I will face and create as we all work together to achieve the university’s goals. With a remarkable three-decade career in entertainment, including multi-Platinum music production, Billboard Chart topping records, Stellar Award Winner, Grammy nominations, and acclaimed literary achievements, Dr. Hamilton brings a wealth of expertise. His honors range from the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award to recognitions from prominent state and city officials and an Honorary Doctorate from Harvest Christian University. Emcee N.I.C.E. joins a rare list of legendary hip hop rappers transitioning to politics or academia such as Dupre Kelly aka DoItAll from the platinum group Lords of the Underground became the first hip hop recording artist to be elected Councilman in Newark, New Jersey, Kanye West was the first to run for President of the United States, former rapper “AD the Voice” became hip hop’s first Lieutenant Governor of New York, Rhodes Scholar Antonio Delgado a graduate of Harvard Law. Harvard also has Emcee N.I.C.E.’s fellow Christian hip hop colleague David “Dee-1” Augustine who is also a professor at Tufts University’s Tisch College proving that hip hop is more than mainstream, it is producing leaders.

Dr. Hamilton’s achievements span diverse fields from music to television, acting to film:

– Distinguished Awards: Recognition as the first U.S. Ambassador for Europe’s Black Music Appreciation Month – Gospel Agency. 

– Induction into the Gospel Hip Hop | Christian Hip Hop Hall of Fame, among others.

– Music Achievements: Contributions to Billboard-topping albums and songs over 20 #1 Records, movie soundtracks includes an Oscar association, and a pivotal role in the Latin Rap history with the first Latin Group in the history of rap to land on the highly coveted Billboard Charts called “Lighter Shade of Brown”.

– Acting: Over two decades in television and movies across major networks and streaming platforms.

– Co-Creator of the first African-American animated music series to appear on Netflix (Da Jammies)

– Radio, Literature, and Humanitarian Work: Notable works as an Amazon Best Seller author, patent holder, and commitment to mentoring and speaking engagements.
