Latin Boxers Competing On Azteca America’s Al Ritmo Del Boxeo

A Mix of Music and Boxing As Fighters Compete to Be a Top Ten Ranked Competitor

October 5, 2018 – Professional boxer Ronald Johnson has been competing in the sport for a while now and has become more popular thanks to his competitive spirit shown on Azteca America’s Knockout Season 3. Johnson won his final bout on the program. Since competing on the show, Johnson has stayed in touch with Azteca and has since come up with an exciting new boxing program. The TV series is represented by Super-Agent Alan Morell-CEO of the Creative Management Agency based out of Beverly Hills.

The new program from Johnson is called Al Ritmo Del Boxeo, and it will premiere on Azteca as part of the network’s 2018-19 slate. Johnson co-created the program with his partners Raymond Santiago, Candy Bickens, and Michael Pratter. Boxing legend Roberto Duran will host.

Al Ritmo Del Boxeo is a boxing competition that mixes the beauty and challenge of boxing with some of the hottest Latin pop artists. Twenty Latin boxers from all parts of the world will compete to contend to become one of the world’s top boxers. The biggest part of the event comes from this competition being the first all-Latin boxing tournament.

The Boxeo Latin World Championship belt will be on the line. The winner will qualify to be a top ten contender in one of the four major sanctioning bodies in the boxing field. By getting into the top ten rankings, the boxer will have access to bigger fights against many of the top stars. This includes the potential to move forward and even compete against the champions in their weight classes or to contend as a part of big pay-per-view events.

The thrill of Latin pop music will be a huge part of the program. The show will include performances from many artists, including Yandel from Wisin Y Yandel.

The training routines of many of the boxers will be highlighted as well. Viewers will be brought into their worlds as the boxers prepare to fight in various cities.

Ronald Johnson helped unveil the program as a part of Azteca America’s upfronts in New York. This program is part of the full slate of programming to come to Azteca America. Other programs include the reality program Lights, Phone Action, and the game show Mi Pareja Puede, which is based on the international hit My Man Can.
