Los Angeles Based Singer Oparu Announces Release of New Single, ‘Free’

The modern synth-pop and 80’s retrowave track showcases the actress and songwriter’s unique and undisputable talent

Sep 1, 2020 – Dianna St. Hilaire, popularly called Opāru has proudly announced the release of her latest single titled ‘Free’. The ‘Love Me’-crooner drops combines the 80’s retrowave and modern synth-pop style in the creation of her latest single.

Opāru’s music has been described as electro with a dark ethereal undertone, and in releasing ‘Free’, the artist cements this status. Combined with dreamy operatic vocals, ‘Free’ which was produced by Nick Dillinger creates a unique depiction of modern synth-pop culture, and promises to be a main feature of speakers across the country in no time.

Having released hit tracks ‘The Deep End’, ‘’Ghost to Follow’ and ‘Love Me’ in the past, Opāru has grown from strength to strength, partnering with the infamous Kim Fowley (The Runaways, Kiss, Joan Jett, and Alice Cooper). The artist has toured the US extensively, been featured on the official Grammy ballots, as well as charting on Billboard. Her music was also on rotation with popular stations across the U.S. including KROQ and NPR tastemaker KCRW.

The artist draws her influences from big names like Madonna, The Cure, Lykke Li, Lana Del Rey, Halsey and SOHN.
