Olístico, the Peruvian creative business unit of New York-based marketing and advertising agency Atypical Digital, has won for the second consecutive year at the Luum Awards, hosted at the Hilton Geneva Hotel and Conference Center in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Luum Awards, in its second year, is the world’s first socially conscious advertising festival. The group recognizes agency leaders and their productions who submit creative and strategic ad campaigns that promote social, civic or environmental awareness. This year, the group awarded 100 gold awards to companies spanning five continents with one company still with the opportunity to earn Titanium during the group’s meeting on November 4 in Switzerland.
This year, Olístico earned gold for their campaign for Amnesty International. The campaign, entitled Absurd Discrimination, launched for pride month and highlighted the absurdity of discrimination against members of the LGBT+ community. Including signs reading “The admission of children born under the sign of Taurus is not accepted under any reason” and “Entry with blood A+ type is prohibited”, the campaign sought to evoke the emotions of the general public through the absurdity of these demands and liken them to the feelings members of the LGBT+ feel on a daily basis.
Speaking on the award, President and General Creative Director for Olístico, Miguel Ormeno, said, “We are honored to be part of the project team that created and executed so well together on impactful campaigns that are about improving people’s lives and our planet in a meaningful way.”
