In the late-80s and early-90s, Seattle was the undeniable global epicenter of grunge rock. Nirvana is one of the most well-known groups to pioneer this movement, but Mother Love Bone had creative wheels in motion that were going to take them places before the untimely death of lead singer Andrew Wood by way of a heroin overdose in 1990.
Not wanting the band to die off like the talented musician so tragically did, Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell came in and filled the lead role for one impressive album, released in 1991.
