The author of Hypertext and many other teaching books, Mendez Machin, set to officially present his book, ‘The Ancestor in The Mirror’, on June 20th.

Author and Musical Artist, Mendez Machin (Noel Mendez), has set the official presentation of his book, The Ancestor in The Mirror, for June 20th, 2020, at 20:20 MT (8:20 pm).

The novel that will be presented on Amazon (eBook, audio-book, and printed edition), is an action thriller that combines elements of historical fiction, romance, science, and time travel.

Speaking about the book, Mendez said: ” In light of recent events, feels that the critical moment for the release of this book is now. My opening chapter explores the role of memory in the design of different concepts of time that we apply every day using quantum mechanics. What seems to be science fiction is actually technological projection and advanced product planning in different areas of our daily lives. Thus, at some point, you might find that this is a book that is pertinent to our times.

The novel is not just a storybook designed to entertain, but also to educate. The very fabric of the book is infused with core theories of advanced physics, and claims to debate about classical physics, modern physics, and several conceptual and interpretational puzzles in the foundations of quantum mechanics that may arise while explaining things like what a black hole is. Thus, this book can be also used as a cross-curricular material or potential reader to help high schoolers understand otherwise complicated topics while promoting collaboration among teachers.

Born in Havana, Cuba, Mendez Machin has spent most of his life traveling. At the age of 15, Noel began his journey as a freelance writer, having his articles and short stories published across Latin America. In the years following, he won several poetry contests. In 1994, his book, Dejàvu was published by the University of Santa Rosa, Argentina. Soon after, he was invited by the Argentinean government to teach at the university, and three years later he self-published his first epistolary novella, Cuba y la Noche, in Buenos Aires.

From the late ’90s to date, Mendez has worked as a proofreader, copywriter, editor as well as several other writing projects. While much of his writing has gone to workbooks and pieces of assessment, Mendez Machin continues to write music and stories for entertainment. His novel, The Ancestor in The Mirror was first published in 2020, in Utah, where he lives with his family.

The Ancestor in The Mirror has attracted rave reviews from its readers. According to a reader with the name, Ashterrix: “This is an intriguing, mind-bending narrative that will help students to think critically and build their interest in both history and the sciences. The Ancestor in the Mirror has a high re-readability factor since the ending reveals key information that would have affected how one read the story early on. This is a thought-provoking read that melded time travel, myth, science, and history, and I can see its value in the classroom.”
