Pasadena, CA – The world’s preeminent experiential design agency, Zeitgeist Design & Production, will welcome veteran art director, designer and illustrator Don Carson as the 30th passenger on its “Spirit of the Time Zoomcast.”

On Friday, January 12, 2024, at noon PST, The Spirit of the Time Zoomcast will kick off its 31st episode with veteran art director, designer and illustrator, Don Carson. Carson’s projects include Mickey’s Toontown, Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World, San Francisco’s annual Dickens Fair, and theme parks and attractions for Universal, THG, The Jim Henson Company, Herschend Family Entertainment, and Walkabout Mini Golf for Mighty Coconut.

“Don is one of the most clever and versatile designers that Joe and I have had the pleasure of working with over the decades,” said Zeitgeist president and chief creative officer Ryan Harmon. “He’s so creative and so funny and one of only a handful of industry icons who effortlessly straddles the physical and virtual worlds, recognizing that a compelling guest experience knows no boundaries.”

Harmon, along with Zeitgeist EVP Joe Lanzisero, began the “Spirit of the Time Zoomcasts” on April 30, 2021. The popular live online video interview show offers a sneak peek “behind the themes,” inviting one incredibly talented immersive entertainment industry colleague aboard the company’s time machine for a journey through milestone moments in that individual’s life and career in an attempt to unravel the mystery of what makes a guest experience timely, yet timeless.

Past passengers aboard the time machine include Disney icons Tony Baxter and Joe Rohde, Universal Creative co-founder Bob Ward, pop culture artist Shag, creative leaders Phil Hettema and Bob Rogers, and three of the “Women of Imagineering:” Peggie Fariss, Tori McCullough, and Becky Bishop.

The hour-long zoomcast is available on the Zeitgeist website (www.zeitgeist-usa.com/zoomcast) and YouTube channel, as well as an audio-only podcast on all popular podcast apps, including Apple Podcasts, Audible, Spotify and Google Podcasts. Viewing and listening is always free. .
